How AQHA Rules Get Changed

As the 2014 AQHA Convention is upon us, it’s time to review how rules get made at AQHA.

How AQHA Directors are Elected

It’s not all dining and dancing at the 2014 AQHA Convention; there's business to be done.

AQHA is an organization that works for our members. Each spring, AQHA holds a convention to review AQHA rules and policies.

The 2014 AQHA Convention was March 7-10, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans.

2014 Committee Reports

NOTE: Committee recommendations, with the exception of those from the stud book and registration and the nominations and credentials committees were subject to AQHA Executive Committee review/modification.

The Executive Committee reviewed those recommendations at its April meeting. Because there were a large number of rule-based recommendations from the amateur, judges and show and professional horsemen’s committees, those recommendations are being evaluated to determine information technology needs and timelines, then will go on to the AQHA Show Council for review. From there, the recommendations with Show Council input will be reviewed by the Executive Committee during its July meeting.
