At an early age, Wayne Baize learned the value of a good horse and as a youth helped break colts. Later, he and his brother, Arlon, raised American Quarter Horses. Wayne has been a professional artist for more than 35 years and has had his work reproduced on the covers of many magazines, including The American Quarter Horse Journal.
He was elected to membership of the Cowboy Artists of America in 1995 and has served as director, vice president and president of the organization. Wayne and his wife, Ellen, live on a small ranch near Fort Davis, Texas.
