For more than 12 years, Karen Cooper has exhibited all over the West, winning many fans and accolades. In 2008 she joined Western Artists of America, taking gold, silver and bronze in pastels in three shows. In 2010 on her first visit to Cheyenne Frontier Days, she became the poster artist for the 2011 CFD and the 2012 limited edition print artist. In 2011 The Pearce Museum added her work to its permanent western collection. In 2012 Karen had her "First Solo" museum exhibition at The Woolaroc in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and made her first trip to Cowgirl Up in Wickenburg, Arizona.
In 2013, Karen did nine museum exhibitions and five public showings. She won a top award at Cowgirl Up, the Hill Country Invitational, the purchase award at the Greeley Stampede and a second place award in pastels at the Bosque Art Classic.
Karen's paintings are unique and original. Each painting has a play of color and light with the added bonuses of action, realism and beauty. There is no other artwork like it in the Western art genre.
