He Knows His Job by Mary Ross Buchholz is the show’s 2012 signature piece.
The signature piece for the 2012 America's Horse in Art show & sale is a graphite and charcoal drawing by renowned Western artist Mary Ross Buchholz. Limited edition signed and unsigned prints of the piece are available for purchase along with catalogs for the 2012 show.
Along with prints, the art still available can be viewed and purchased online at www.quarterhorsemuseum.com, by telephone at (806) 376-5181 and by email at artshow@aqha.org. The purchased artwork will remain on exhibit through November 10.
America’s Horse in Art returned to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo in August with a list of world-renown western artists providing pieces for the fifth annual art show. The show opened August 11 and continues through November 10 in the Scharbauer Gallery.
“The American Quarter Horse’s impact on the American West is still inspiring artists today,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. “The American Quarter Horse has long been a focus of Western art, and we appreciate these great artists joining together to support the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum and help to protect the history of these amazing animals.”
Proceeds from the sale of the art will go to the Hall of Fame to support its efforts to preserve the history of the American Quarter Horse, but due to IRS regulations, the art is not tax-deductible.
