Since 1980, AQHA Racing has hosted the annual Jay Pumphrey Cowboy Classic Memorial Golf Tournament, which coincides with All American week and the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale at Ruidoso Downs. This year's event is sponsored by Track magazine and the Monday Report.
The 2013 tourney takes place August 27-28 at the Links at Sierra Blanca in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Play begins at 11 AM each day. Men and women play separately. Your entry fee includes green fee, cart, range balls and an invitation to the post-tourney dinner and awards presentation, sponsored by Coors of Amarillo and Abilene, limited to the first 128 paid entrants. Registration and $275 entry fee due by August 16, 2013.

The Jay Pumphrey Cowboy Classic Invitational is for: American Quarter Horse breeders, owners, trainers and jockeys; AQHA members; members or guests of the Pumphrey family; invitees. It is intended to promote fellowship among American Quarter Horse racing enthusiasts. This tournament is a great way to get new people involved in the industry. If you have friends or business associates you'd like to introduce to American Quarter Horse racing, please invite them to play.
All proceeds benefit the Jay Pumphrey Animal Sciences Scholarship Fund.
