Race Record: Winning the second trial over a field that included champion Feature Mr Bojangles, Jess Featureme Quick won by a head and hung on to the tenth-fastest time. The gelding will make his stakes debut in the All American Derby. His previous wins came in a non-qualifying Rainbow Futurity trial and, earlier this year, a Ruidoso allowance race that included fellow qualifier Eyein This Feature.

Breeder/Owner: The homebred gelding races for 30-year breeder Melissa Ann Miller of Belton, Texas. Miller since 2010 has raced five winners from 27 starts, with earnings of nearly $40,000. She has bred the winners of 18 races from 124 starts with earnings of $187,439. They include stakes winner Surviving Success.

Trainer: From 18,327 starts since 1990, Paul Jones horses have won 3,423 races and earned more than $66.1 million. The reigning champion trainer for the past decade, Jones won the All American Derby in 2008 with Noconi and in 2009 with Inseperable. Jones also qualified Bills Last to the race.

Qualifying Jockey: Ramon Sanchez has two All American Derby wins under his belt, with Llano Teller in 2011 and Noconi in 2008. The winner of 1,592 races in 8,985 starts, Sanchez has ridden the earners of more than $30,158,585. He was the sport’s champion jockey in 2009 and 2002.

Pedigree: The late Feature Mr Jess was a two-time Grade 1 winner with $539,327 in career earnings. The successful sire from eight crops has sired the earners of more than $19.3 million, including All American Futurity winner Heartswideopen.

Dam One Slick Cookie is a member of the good mare line cultured by the American Quarter Horse Hall of Famers the Allred Bros. One Slick Cookie is a half sister to six-figure earner One Famous Lady, dam of champion and leading freshman sire One Famous Eagle. A winner on the track, One Slick Cookie was also shown at halter, and finished top-5 in performance halter mares at the 2007 AQHA World Championship Show. From three starters, One Slick Cookie has produced two winners, including stakes placed One Famous Cookie (by Separatist, $27,387).
