Already American Quarter Horse racing’s all-time leading jockey by money earned, G.R. Carter Jr. continues to push the bar higher as he has reached the milestone of $60 million in earnings.

The Oklahoma native achieved the mark on October 28, when he rode Melvin and Mary Neugebauer’s homebred gelding Miracle Snow to win the $170,360 Namehimastreaker New Mexico Classic Championship (RG1) at Zia Park.

Since 1984, Carter has won 3,447 of 21,796 starts.

A few of his biggest victories include the All American Futurity twice (1998 with Falling In Loveagain and 2008 with Stolis Winner), the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity twice (2005 with Value The Man and 2002 with First Place Queen).

He is also been the sport’s champion jockey nine times since the award was instituted in 1985.

In this year's standings, he is currently leading all jockeys by earnings with $3,788,896.
