On January 4-5, the Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana will host two days of educational and fun events, including their stallion service auction. The events will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Indianapolis Airport.
New to the event is the Trainer's Education Seminar on Friday, January 4, from 2-5 p.m., which meets the Indiana Horse Racing Commission's requirement for
continuing education for 2013. All trainers who plan to be licensed in
Indiana must have attended one seminar before racing in 2013.
The same evening, QHRAI is offering a New Owners' Profitability Conference from 6-8 p.m.. It is open to both new owners and anyone already involved in racing. Dinner will be provided between the two conferences.
On Saturday, as in the past, the association hosts their stallion service auction, banquet, 2012 awards program and the Post Parade Party. Find more information and contact details at the QHRAI website.
"We have a great line up of stallions being offered during the Stallion Service Auction and we are excited to be able to expand the event this year and offer the two conferences on Friday," said QHRAI Executive Director Michelle Collins. "We are excited about Quarter Horse racing in Indiana and want to provide as much information as we can to get new people involved in the industry and to anyone who wants to take advantage of the nearly $5 million dollar program that we have to offer."
