Jockey Anne Von Rosen has been seriously injured in a fall.

Jockey Anne Von Rosen was serious injured in a spill at Turf Paradise on Tuesday.

Von Rosen, 43, rode 5-year-old mare Panchita Bonita to a second-place finish in the first race on March 11 at Turf Paradise. The horse crossed the wire, then took a bad step and fell on top of Von Rosen.

Von Rosen, who is believed to have suffered a serious spinal injury, was taken to the John C. Lincoln Hospital for surgery.

A jockey since 2001, Von Rosen has ridden 56 winners from 507 starters in American Quarter Horse races, with earnings of $398,274. Among the horses she has ridden are stakes winners Mr Hawkins, Dakota Lane and Dashing By By.
