The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association announced today that catalogs have dropped in the mail for their upcoming annual yearling sale scheduled Friday August 3-4 at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder. The 36th annual Louisiana Bred Yearling Sale will feature 505 yearlings eligible to participate in the nation's No. 1 state bred program. Louisiana-bred horses run for more than $21 million in purse money each year with a guaranteed minimum 148 Quarter Horse race days. All yearlings passing through the ring have been nominated to the 2013 $1 million-est. LQHBA Breeders' Futurity.
Sale sessions will kickoff at 10 a.m. each day with Hips 1 thru 252 scheduled on Friday and Hips 253 thru 505 on Saturday.
