Louisiana Commission to Meet on Dermorphin Cases

Louisiana Racing Commission to hear dermorphin cases on September 27-28.

The Louisiana State Racing Commission is set to meet September 27-28 to hear cases against trainers cited for alleged violations related to dermorphin positives for horses in their care.

The meeting was originally scheduled for July 24, but was delayed until August 29-30 to allow time to properly prepare. The meeting was again delayed due to Hurricane Issac.

The trainers involved include Steve Garrison, Gonzalo Gonzales, Alonzo Loya, Alvin Smith Jr., Darrel Soileau and Heath Taylor.
