Montana Gets Dates

Montana racetracks awarded 25 days this year.

Five racetracks in Montana have been given 25 dates for 2013, scheduled this summer. The racetracks include Bucking Horse Sale Racing (Miles City), Kallispell Race Meet (Kallispell), Montana Downs (Great Falls), Western Montana Fair (Missoula) and Yellowstone Downs (Billings),

Yellowstone Downs and Kallispell last raced in 2011, and the Western Montana Fair and Montana Downs last raced in 2010. Bucking Horse Sale Racing raced three days in 2012.

Officials are uncertain if the Montana Board of Horse Racing will be able to afford to race all of the given days.
