New Owners Guide Available

New owners guide and educational videos available.

AQHA Racing has launched a new web-based New Ownership Guide. Found at aqha.com/racingownership, it’s designed to provide a friendly and practical introduction to the industry, and to let prospective owners understand what their responsibilities and rewards will be.
 
The new website first shows visitors a basic picture of what it means to be the owner of a racing American Quarter Horse, including startup and extended costs, hiring and working with a trainer, purchasing a horse and more.
 
Readers are then encouraged to download and read the more in-depth “AQHA Racing New Owner Guide,” which explores ownership in much more detail. The 35-page booklet discusses partnerships, training, veterinary care, insurance and many other aspects of the horse racing industry.
 
The website and print guide also provide contact information for each AQHA state and provincial affiliate, all of which have agreed to field calls from would-be owners who are interested in joining the business.
