No banned drugs were found in the system of Ruidoso Futurity (G1) winner Cartel Quick, who died shortly after winning the June 9 race, reports SureBet Racing News.

SureBet reports that New Mexico Racing Commission Director Vince Mares confirmed that tests showed only the presence of Guaifenesin, a low-level, allowable therapeutic drug.

Cartel Quick, owned by Sergio Enriquez and trained by Alonso Orozco, won both his two career starts and earned $317,100.
