Our Third Delight Dies

Our Third Delight died the morning of January 12.

The 31-year-old mare is the dam of champions Tres Seis ($856,901) and Dean Miracle ($199,601), and broodmare of the year Fortune Of Delight ($100,269); granddam of champion and All American Futurity (G1) winner A Delightful Dasher ($1,660,525) and champion Hes My Dasher ($576,250), both out of Fortune Of Delight; and great-granddam of champion Inseperable ($672,756), out of Fortune Of Delight’s daughter A Delightful Legacy ($179,153).

Our Third Delight was owned for most of her life by Mrs. Gwendolyn Eaves of Midland, Texas, who bought her as a yearling from breeders John Colville and Ray Olds of California. At the time of her death, the mare was owned by the Eaves Horses Family Trust Ltd. Partnership, which is managed by Mrs. Eaves’ granddaughter Meridith Copeland.

A winning daughter of Reb’s Policy (TB) out of the Tiny Watch mare Tiny’s Delight, Our Third Delight earned $53,688 on the track. From 12 starters, Our Third Delight produced two champions, two more stakes winners, six other winners and the earners of $1,431,601.
