The Horse Racing Aces, AQHA’s fan education specialists, will appear in Ruidoso, New Mexico, this weekend to be a part of all the action leading up to Monday’s $2.6 million All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Martha Claussen and Denis Blake will be onsite Sunday and Monday at the information kiosk adjacent to the racetrack entrance. They will offer complimentary handicapping materials, courtesy of AQHA, post timely social media updates throughout the weekend, and most importantly, be available to answer any and all questions on American Quarter Horse racing.

On Sunday and Monday at Ruidoso Downs, the Racing Aces will participate in the 11 a.m. televised handicapping preview show hosted by track announcer Robert Fox. Blake has lent his expertise on several radio interviews to preview the weekend's races and Claussen will offer her analysis of the All American Futurity (G1) as part of TVG’s live coverage on Labor Day.

The Racing Aces program got underway in 2010 utilizing the handicapping skills of a group of experienced racing industry individuals to visit racetracks across the country. The goal was to take the intimidation out of learning about Quarter Horse racing and handicapping. The Aces are happy to teach a first-time visitor how to read the program as well as discussing speed figures, class distinctions or how to play the Pick 3 with a more experienced horseplayer.

“We really enjoy being part of this thrilling Quarter Horse racing event,” said Claussen, who serves as coordinator for the program. “This will be our fourth appearance at Ruidoso Downs for the All American Derby and Futurity. Denis and I are looking forward to interacting with the fans and picking winners for both the Sunday and Monday cards.”

Fans are invited to follow the Aces on Twitter (@HorseRacingAces) for up-to-the minute updates and photos of racing action and the Ruidoso Select Yearling and Broodmare Sale.
