Zeta Cartel Trial Delayed until March

The trial of nine defendants accused of conspiring to launder millions from the Zetas drug cartel via involvement in Quarter Horse racing has been postponed until March 4 from its original date of October 22.The trial is set to take place in Austin, Texas, and was delayed at the request of five of the defendants.

In June, 15 people were indicted by a federal grand jury on a conspiracy to commit money laundering charge.

The majority of the horses involved are located at Zule Farms in Lexington, Oklahoma. In August, a judge agreed to the sale of around 450 horses linked to the case. However, a date and place for the sale has yet to be announced.
