Pablo Madrigal’s Eagle B Gone, an Oregon-bred gelding by One Famous Eagle, kept his perfect record intact on Sunday as he won the $22,850 Pot O Gold Futurity for his second win in as many starts at Sun Downs in Kennewick, Washington. Ridden by Luis Gonzalez to a time of :15.78 for 300 yards, Eagle B Gone was one of five finalists saddled by trainer Hector Magallanes.

Sent off at odds of 9-1, Eagle B Gone broke his maiden in the April 21 trials when he crossed the wire second but was moved up to first upon the disqualification of the original winner Reel Fast for interference. Bred by Michael and Shannon McKay out of the Shazoom mare Go Girl Gone, Eagle B Gone has earned $9,580 in his two-race career. Go Girl Gone earned more than $100,000 in her career while racing mostly in Washington and Idaho. Her wins included stakes victories in Bank of America Challenge races at Sun Downs and Les Bois Park.

La Jackye, a filly by Fastnfierce running for breeder/owner Onofre Antonio Rosales Reyes and trainer Juan Leon, rallied to take second. Fastest qualifier and betting favorite Avatarr, trained by Magallanes for Yaqueline Ibarra, took third.
