Feature Mr Who, running for owner and trainer Jaime Dominguez, broke on top and drew clear of the field by 1 ¼ lengths on Sunday afternoon in the $107,3070 Bank of America Sunland Championship Challenge (G2) at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.

Coming off a second-place trial effort on March 19, the 4-year-old gelding took advantage of a bobbled start by heavy post-time favorite Jess Featureme Quick to win the race and earn a berth to the $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1) at Los Alamitos Race Course on November 9.

Under jockey Esgar Ramirez, the Feature Mr Jess gelding completed the 440 yards in a quick :20.462, earning a 108 speed index at odds of 4-1. The $49,393 winner's purse swelled Feature Mr Who's bankroll to $130,776. Buddy and Patty Newsome bred the sorrel gelding in Florida from the Corona Cartel mare Whosleaving Corona. This marked the first career stakes win for Feature Mr Who.

Coming off a brilliant 3-year-old season, Jess Featureme Quick settled for second-place earnings of $21,474 to move his career total to more than $440,000. The 4-year-old gelding, also by Feature Mr Jess, races for owner/breeder Melissa Ann Miller and is trained by Paul Jones. Jesse Levario had the riding assignment. The homebred, who last year won the Hobbs America Derby (G3) and finished second in the $350,000 The Championship at Sunland Park (G1), is out of One Quick Cookie, by Royal Quick Dash.

Fastest qualifier WDC Wendys Wine drifted out and finished three-quarters back in the show position for owner Alonso and Sylvia Aranda. Isidro Rodriguez saddled the Woodbridge 4-year-old from the Vita Sign mare Signs Of Speeding. Ridden by L. Salvador Martinez, the brown miss earned $10,737. It was the first loss in her last four starts for the earner of nearly $71,000.

One Famous Hero, Ocean La Jolla, Badfast, Time For A Cigar, Sizzling Perry and The Redd Zone completed the field.
