Mercy Hinklin’s homebred Jetblack Gold Moment returns to stakes action when she tries for her fourth-straight win in the Evangeline Downs Futurity on Saturday night at the Louisiana track.

Jetblack Gold Moment (Jet Black Patriot-Royally Streak by Royal Quick Dash) started her career in promising fashion for trainer Kenneth Roberts when she was beaten by just a nose for second in the Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity (G3) back in March.

After a fourth-place finish in a Heritage Place Futurity trial, she started her winning streak. She won an allowance race in June and then took a TQHA Sale Futurity (RG2) futurity trial in July. The filly was out of action until racing in her Evangeline Downs Futurity trial, winning by 1 1/2 lengths, with the fastest time of :19.784 from eight trials.

Don Ming’s homebred I See Visions (One Famous Eagle-Vision Of Dash by Dash For Cash) shows improvement with two wins in his two most recent starts. After winning a maiden race from his first four starts, he stepped up for trainer Vann Haywood with an allowance win and then a 1 1/4-length score in his Evangeline Derby trial, with the second-fastest time of :19.877.

Max Langlinais and Donald Rubin’s Shazooms Love (Shazoom-La Lover by Streakin La Jolla) is also on a two-race winning streak. The Donald Rubin-trained gelding won his maiden on October 24 and then took his Evangeline Downs Futurity trial by one-half length, with the third-fastest time of :20.030.
