I Dont Need Nobody Tops PRM Juvenile Challenge Trials

JK Running Horses LLC's I Dont Need Nobody broke his maiden Saturday night while posting the top qualifying time for the $30,000-added John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge.

The 10 fastest Bank of America Racing Challenge enrolled 2-year-olds from the three trials races will return to the Iowa racetrack on Saturday, September 14, and vie for the winner' share of the purse and a spot in the $150,000 John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2) at Los Alamitos Race Course on November 9.

Kenny Laymon saddled I Dont Need Anybody. Under jockey Thomas Wellington, the Jess Louisiana Blue gelding rallied to defeat Wicked Valentine by a neck while posting the top time of :17.492 for 350, a 97 speed index.

Paul Newmaster bred the sorrel in Kansas from the My Designated Driver mare Katiebug Driver.

Brad and Ann Tate's homebred Wicked Valentine held on to the second-fastest time of :17.526, a 96 speed index. The One Famous Eagle gelding was the first of four finalists for trainer Charlton Hunt. Stormy Smith had the riding call on the sorrel from the First Down Dash mare Only The Wicked.
