BP Cartels Alibi and PYC Kant Katch Me in the $50,000 Jack Brooks Stakes (RG3) for sophomores heads three stakes races for Oklahoma-breds on Sunday at Remington Park.

Also on the program are the $50,000 Easy Date Handicap at 350 yards and the $50,000 FL Lady Bug Stakes over 330 yards.

Raymundo Villareal Jr.’s BP Cartels Alibi (Corona Cartel-My Ladys Alibi by Chicks Beduino) looks to return to the winning form he had a year ago at Remington Park when he narrowly won the $1 million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) for trainer Trey Wood. He then qualified for the $2.4 million All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

BP Cartels Alibi is making his third start off a layoff in the Jack Brooks and comes off a fourth-place effort in the Mr Master Bug Handicap (R).

JNB Enterprises’ PYC Kant Katch Me (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Wanna Be Me by Disco Jerry (TB)) has won five of six starts with a third-place finish in the $1 million Texas Classic Futurity (G1), his most recent start on November 10 for trainer Judd Kearl. His wins include the $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile (R) and his All American Futurity trial.

Wade Helton’s Llano Cartel (Teller Cartel-Eyesa Lil Cuervo by Lil Bit Cuervo) could be the right horse at the right time in the Jack Brooks. The Alfredo Gomez-trained gelding has two allowance wins and a close third-place finish in the Bob Moore Stakes (G2) in his latest three starts, all at Remington Park.

Reliance Ranches’ Cruzin The Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Penelope Cruzin by Okey Dokey Dale) totes high weight of 126 pounds in the Easy Date Handicap for fillies and mares.

Cruzin The Wagon looks to bounce back from a lackluster seventh-place effort in the Merial Remington Park Distaff Challenge as the even-money favorite. In her two starts leading up to the Merial Remington Park Distaff Challenge, the Eddie D. Willis-trained mare was second in the Decketta Stakes (G3) and third in the Mighty Deck Three Handicap.

Miguel Banuelos’ Kuhl Wave (Wave Carver-Shazooms Doll by Shazoom) is in sharp form. After finishing third in the Decketta, she won the Mr Master Bug Handicap by a half length in a sharp :17.455 for the 350 yards.

In the FL Lady Bug Stakes for juveniles, Ellen Kennedy Living Trust’s Cartel Chica (Teller Cartel-Jess Because I Could by Feature Mr Jess) is positioned for her first stakes win after finishing second in the Laico Bird Stakes (R) in her latest effort.

The Luis Villafranco-trained filly won her maiden at first asking before her second-place finish in the Laico Bird.
