Kris and Dennie Hill’s SFR Stuck On You has shown she shines at Los Alamitos, but she will need to be on top of her game when she starts in a contentious $200,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G2) over 400 yards.

SFR Stuck On You (Stel Corona-LDS Good Goin Gracie by Proudest Effort) has the advantage of coming off a win in the Adequan Los Alamitos Derby Challenge, giving her a qualifying win over the track that the Championships are contested. The filly fought with the leader for the 400 yards before prevailing by a neck as a 15-1 outsider.

A top-two finisher in eight of 10 Los Alamitos starts for trainer Bret Vickery, SFR Stuck On You was a close second in the La Pacifica Handicap as the 8-5 choice and qualified for the $125,000 Los Alamitos Maiden Stakes.

Jr Dynasty Mountain (FDD Dynasty-Prissy B Panther by Panther Mountain) should be dangerous coming off a pair of wins at Les Bois Park and finishing second in last year’s PCQHRA Breeders Futurity (G2) at Los Alamitos. The Ron Mooseman-trained colt won his Adequan Les Bois Park Derby Challenge trial and returned to dominate the $44,000 Adequan Les Bois Park Derby Challenge by 2 lengths in a track record :19.310 for the 400 yards.

Dawn Ivey’s homebred If I Were Famous (One Famous Eagle-Runnin Oner Mind by Ronas Ryon) will be making his first start since racing to an upset win in the $49,000 Adequan Ruidoso Derby Challenge back in June. The Sleepy Gilbreath-trained gelding has won two of six starts and raced to her only stakes score in the Adequan Ruidoso Derby Challenge.

Danny Salisbury and Robbin Caldwell’s I V Gone (Ivory James-Bye Bye Begones by Takin On The Cash) is improving at the right time for trainer Tana Caldwell. The gelding won a $15,000-claiming race at Fair Meadows on July 5 and has been successfully climbing up the class ladder ever since that score. His climb culminated on September 29 when he fought to a neck win in the Adequan Will Rogers Derby Challenge and earned his spot in the Adequan Derby Challenge Championship.
