Track Record Falls on Challenge Night at Les Bois

Four Challenge Champions berths awarded at Idaho track.

Les Bois Park a total of five Bank of America Challenge events on Saturday night with four horses earning berths to the Bank of America Challenge Championships at Los Alamitos Race Course on November 9.

Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge
Fastest qualifier JR Dynasty Mountain roared to a two-length win and a new 400 yard track record in the $44,191 Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge. Ridden by Uriel Dominguez for trainer Ron Moosman, the brown colt completed the 400 yards in :19.310 seconds, a 114 speed index. The previous record of :19.316 seconds was set June 30, 2007, by Cocktail Special.

Racing for J R Stables, the FDD Dynasty colt got his sixth win in nine starts and boosted his career total to $94,357 after pocketing the winner's purse of $20,327. He also earned a berth to the $200,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G1).

Robert Hosier and Jay Bingham bred JR Dynasty Mountain in Nevada from the Panther Mountain mare Prissy B Panther.

Wyatt Elison saddled Lil Dip A Nitro to a second-place finish for owner Dennis Cain and Dawana Jenkins. Co-bred by Cain in Idaho, the bay gelding is by Royal Miracle Dip out of Attract by Twaynas Dash. He earned $8,838.

Gerardo Prado's Ms Eaves finished a neck back in the show position for trainer Pablo Rabasa Jr. Cesar DeAlba rode the Tres Seis filly out of Ms Tuff Stuff, by Chicks Beduino. The Christine Hudson Texas-bred earned $4,419 for her effort.

Larryville was fourth followed by PF Flayair and Bouge, who dead-heated for fifth. Thaicoon, Dewey Cox, SFR Stuck On You and Miss Money Hawk completed the field.

John Deere Les Bois Juvenile Challenge
Richard Frandsen's homebred SS Paydirt returned with a powerful win over Time For Jesse in the $50,850 John Deere Les Bois Juvenile Challenge on Saturday night at Les Bois Park. The fastest qualifier in the June 19th trials, the Carters Cartel gelding completed the 350 yard course in :17.414 seconds, a 104 speed index.

The win earned SS Paydirt $23,391 and a starting spot in the $150,000 John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2).

Blane Hadley saddled the Utah bred gelding out of Mia Ta Fame, by Dash Ta Fame. Jesus Virgen was aboard the three-time winner from four starts this season. He has earned $34,430.

Jim Walker's homebred Time For Jesse Lee earned $10,170 for second. Monty Arrossa trains the Mr Jesse Lee colt out of Time For Noble, by Mescallero Chick. Jay Conklin was up.

BH Country Chrome, a homebred Country Quick Dash colt owned-and-trained by Bill Hoburg, was half-length back in third. Ridden by Jose Figueroa the sorrel colt earned picked up $5,805 for the effort. He is out of the Snowbound (TB) mare Apollo Snowbound.

Hes Chillin, Five Seven Nine, Well Worth It, C R Luke, Yahlo Caliente and Merwin Carter completed the course. Jr Dash Of Shania was scratched.

Red Cell Les Bois Distance Challenge
Mark Hanson saddled Honoroso to a 4 ½-length win in the $22,320 Red Cell Les Bois Distance Challenge. Racing for owners Richard Gardner and Jim Hanson, the Fly Jess Fly 4-year-old covered the 870 yards in :44.460 to earn a 113 speed index.

The $10,713 winner's purse boosted his career total to $35,384 with seven wins from 23 starts. Jay Conklin was aboard. Sassy Farms LLC bred Honoroso in Utah from the Spanish Boot mare Abla Espanol.

Saturday's victory also earned Honoroso a spot in the $125,000 Red Cell Distance Challenge Championship (G1).

CMB Nuermo Uno finished second for owner Alisha Cronquist and Craig Giles. Nick Cronquist trains the Dos Poruno 5-year-old out of Shergars Revenge (TB), by Shergar's Best (TB). Elliot Bachicha Jr. had the riding assignment. He earned $4,576. Keys Racing Stable is the breeder.

Hey Wont You Play finished 3 ½ lengths back in the show position for trainer Kurt Colton. Bob and Scott Giltner own the Snowbound (TB) 4-year-old out of Fly Ta Cartel, by Corona Cartel. Joe Crispin rode the Kim Kessinger California bred. He picked up $2,232 for the effort.

Yin Your Eyes, Junos Last Cat, Ls Little Sam, To Shay and Fast Intention completed the course.

Zoetis Les Bois Starter Allowance
Ocean Runner picked up a starting spot in the $75,000 Zoetis Starter Allowance Challenge Championship after posting a neck victory over Gallant Mystic in the $17,820 Zoetis Les Bois Starter Allowance.

Tyson Lusk saddled the 5-year-old Ocean Runaway gelding for owner Jeffrey Sandberg. Ridden by Dirk Crane, the gray gelding completed the 350 yards in :17.618, a 97 speed index. The $8,732 winner's purse doubled his career total to $17,045.

Dennie and Kris Hill bred Ocean Runner in Utah from their champion and All American Futurity (G1) winner AB What A Runner, by Royal Quick Dash.

Ron Moosman trains Gallant Mystic for Moonshine Racing. Uriel Dominguez rode the Separatist gelding out of The Creole Queen, by First Down Dash. Bred in Texas by Julianna Hawn Holt, he earned $3,742 for the effort.

RTM Say Your Prayers finished a neck back in the show position and earned $1,871 for owner/breeder Susan Hanson. Mark Hanson trains with Dirk Crane riding. The Chickie Cherry Cola 6-year-old is out of Shirleys Secret, by Dashin Is Easy.

Tooproudtostreak, Wave Of Chicks, Running Away and Deep Creek Bob. Whos On First AJ was scratched.

Les Bois Park Bonus Challenge
The 8-year-old multiple stakes winner Vodka With Ice scored his ninth career win with a 1 ½-length victory in the $14,150 Les Bois Park Bonus Challenge Stakes. Pablo Rabasa Jr. conditions the Stoli gelding for owner Gerardo Prado.

Michael Pohl bred Vodka With Ice in Texas from the Streakin Six mare Hips So Fine. The $8,490 winner's purse pushed his career total over $140,000.

Robert Hickman's Margaritas N Coronas earned $2,830 for second. Bret Vickery saddled the Corona Czech 3-year-old with Jay Conklin riding. Bred in Washington by Gregory and Renee Hickman, the sorrel gelding earned $2,830.

Vickery also trained Whata Cool Runner to third for owner/breeders Dennie and Kris Hill. The Corona Cartel 4-year-old is out of champion AB What A Runner. Ridden by Joe Crispin he earned $1,698.

SH Cowboy Baby, Busy Doin Nuthin, Calyx Special Dashin, Veyron, Feature Miss Alibi, Reggies Zoom and Vodka Soda No Fruit completed the field.
