Press Release
March 1, 2013

Joleen Hales and Christian and Ru Anna Singletary’s multiples stakes winner Tres Of Linda will go after the third stakes victory of her career when she takes on a solid group of mares in the $15,000 Garden Grove Handicap at 350 yards on Sunday at Los Alamitos.

Trained by Scott Willoughby, Tres Of Linda won the Adequan California Derby in a race that included 3-year-old male sprinters and earlier this year she was a solid winner in the Grade 2 $100,000 Charger Bar Handicap. The 4-year-old mare by Tres Seis faced some of the top older males in the nation in a trial to the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Winter Championship on January 27. Tres Of Linda will be ridden by Gregorio Arriaga from post number three. She’ll be going after her sixth victory in 13 career starts.

Ed Allred’s Study Hall Pierce is another of the top mares racing in the Garden Grove. The homebred sprinter has won four of her eighth starts and she’s hit the board against stakes rivals in her last two outings. Study Hall Pierce was third in the La Pacifica Handicap going back to May 12 and after a break from racing she returned to finish third to El Primero Del Ano Derby winner New Look in the Dana Point Handicap. Cody Joiner will saddle the 4-year-old sprinter.

Recent allowance winner Check N Fetch, a winner of seven races in her career, Attack The Cartel and Tac It To Heart will complete the field in the Garden Grove, which is set as the ninth race on Sunday.
