Wave Cover Heads Harrahs Futurity

Wave Cover returns on Sunday in Harrah's Entertainment Futurity.

JNI Breeding Farms’ Wave Cover looks to back up his fastest-qualifying trial win when he starts in the $221,640 Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity (G3) at Louisiana Downs on Sunday afternoon.

Wave Cover (Wave Carver-Ronas Cover Girl by Ronas Ryon) ran a mature race in his trial when he burst to an early lead and then posted the half-length win for trainer Miguel Rodriguez. He won the second of seven trials with a :15.495 time for 300 yards.

Mercy Hinklin’s Horse Farm and trainer Kenneth Roberts have the competitive entry of Jetblack Gold Moment (Jet Black Patriot-Royally Streak by Royal Quick Dash) and Classic Patriot (Game Patriot-Classic Guitar by A Classic Dash). Jetblack Gold Moment lead the entry after winning her trial by three-quarters of a length with the second-fastest qualifying time. Classic Patriot was second to Wave Cover in their trial and has the fourth-fastest qualifying time of :15.560.

Owner Joe Flores and trainer Jorge Luis Barrera also have an entry in the futurity with RC Tres Times Seis (Tres Seis-Three Times Four by Separatist) and One Fast Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Fast Mans Prize by Heza Fast Man).

RC Tres Times Seis won his trial by a half length in :15.549, the third-fastest time, while One Fast Wagon won her trial by a length with the sixth-fastest time of :15.636.
