Sun, a little bit of rain and a whole lot of American Quarter Horses made for a fun week of showing at the 2013 Florida Gulf Coast. Entries were at close to 1,000 per judge, said Peg Edmondson, show manager of the show in Tampa, Florida. Rain early in the week dampened the outdoor arenas at the Florida State Fairgrounds, moving all the classes under cover. By the last day of the show, though, temperatures were in the 80s as exhibitors, trainers and spectators packed up to head down the road to Venice, Florida, for the Fox Lea Circuit.
