Entries are due August 13 for the next AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge.
The next AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge is August 28-29 at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Ranching Heritage Challenge will highlight the handling, cowiness and roping ability of today’s ranch-bred American Quarter Horses.
Entries are being accepted until August 20, but with a late-entry penalty fee.
All horses must have been bred by an AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder. Entry forms can be found on the Colorado State Fair website.
All entries must be submitted on official entry applications obtained from the office of the Colorado State Fair or from its website and mailed to the general office of the Colorado State Fair/Horse Show 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004.
Use the following class codes to enter the Ranching Heritage Challenge:
1781 – Ranching Heritage Challenge, Open Sweepstakes, 4-year-olds
Added money – $5,000
Entry fee – $250
1782 – Ranching Heritage Challenge, Limited Open, 4-year-olds
Runs concurrently with Class 1781
Added money – $2,500
No additional entry fee, must be entered in Class 1781
1785 – Ranching Heritage Challenge, Cowboy Class, 4-year-olds and over
Added money – $3,700
Entry fee – $250
2783 – Ranching Heritage Challenge, Amateur, 5-year-olds and older
Runs concurrently with Class 3780
Added money – $2,000
Entry fee - $250
3780 – Ranching Heritage Challenge, Novice Amateur, 5-year-olds and older
Runs concurrently with Class 2783
No additional entry fee, must be entered in Class 2783
