Qualify through your affiliate for the AQHA Novice championships.

Qualifying Period: May 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013

  • All Novice youth and Novice amateurs will earn state affiliate show points at any North Carolina Quarter Horse Association-approved show.
  • Exhibitors must be members in good standing of AQHA and NCQHA. 
  • NCQHA will tally the total points for each the total points for each exhibitor in each of their classes shown. NCQHA will submit the top three point-earning exhibitors in each of the Novice disciplines being held at the AQHA Novice Championship shows. 
  • Points are compiled on a one-horse, one-exhibitor basis.
  • Exhibitors must have a minimum of 15 state show points to be eligible.

State points are awarded based on the number of horses in the class and the exhibitor placing. The max points earned in one class is 9. Listed below is how state points are awarded.
