Qualify through your affiliate for the AQHA Novice championships.

Qualifying Period: May 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013

  • All Novice youth and Novice amateur exhibitors will earn state affiliate show points at 12 shows.
  • Must be a member in good standing with AQHA and West Virginia Quarter Horse Association
  • WVQHA will submit the top three point-earning exhibitors in each of the Novice classes for an invitation to the AQHA Novice Championship shows to AQHA headquarters.
  • Points will be compiled on a one-horse, one-exhibitor basis
  • In the event of a tie, the exhibitor placing in the most shows will break the tie.

State points are awarded on the number of horses in the class and the exhibitor placing. The maximum points earned in a class are 9.  Listed below is how state points are awarded per the Novice Championship shows state qualifying system.
