Qualify through your affiliate for the AQHA Novice championships.

Qualifying Period: May 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013

Must be a member of Mississippi Amateur Quarter Horse Association or Mississippi Quarter Horse Youth association, as well as AQHA.
Novice points will only be counted at MQHA-approved shows.
The top three exhibitors in each Novice class scheduled for the Novice Championship shows, with halter as an exception, that are not nationally qualified and have shown to five judges during the year will be qualified.
The top three Novice exhibitors in amateur and youth halter classes that show to five judges and are not nationally qualified will be selected to participate.
All interested exhibitors must submit a “letter of intent” to participate by April 30 of the show year. The letter does not obligate the exhibitor to participate; however, contestants that do not submit a letter will not be considered in the selection qualification process.
Open slots not filled by the regular selection process will be filled by the Novice exhibitors that have shown to five judges, have earned the most Novice points in all classes and have submitted a “letter of intent.”
