How Do Ya Like Menow came back to Oklahoma City to claim his second world championship this year.
Jim Sancken showed “Toby” to a gold in the amateur 3-year-old geldings at the 2010 AQHA World Championship Show on November 10.
Jim has been showing at the World Show for the last five years, but it was Toby who helped Jim win his first world championship.
“It feels terrific,” Jim said. “I’ve been showing for quite a while so it feels good to be at the top.”
This team was confident going into the show ring, and with the help of Jim’s trainer, AQHA Professional Horseman Randy Jacobs, Toby and Jim could not have been more ready.
“I knew he looked good,” Jim said. “I got up to the front of the line, and he showed really good today. He’s been a really a great horse to show, and Randy had him looking great as usual.”
Last year at the 2009 World Show, Jim and Toby placed third in the amateur 2-year-old geldings.
On November 20, Randy will show Toby in the open 3-year-old geldings.
Back in August at the Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show, Jim’s son Travis was able to take home the gold in the youth 3-year-old geldings after coming in second at the 2009 Ford Youth World in 2-year-old geldings.
