November 4 was a doubly good day for AQHA Professional Horseman Chuck Briggs of Azle, Texas.

It was world champion-good and reserve world champion-good, as Chuck rode two horses in junior working hunter at the 2012 AQHA World Championship Show.

The world championship went to Dirty Sexy Money, a 2007 gray gelding by Sheiks Big Leaguer and out of Fight Over Emmie (TB) by Fight Over. Dirty Sexy Money was bred by Melissa Ann Miller of Belton, Texas, and is owned by Janet and Kent Martin of Wells, Texas.

“I’ve had him since we bought him when he was 3,” Chuck said. “I’ve trained him and brought him along. He belongs to Jenny Martin, an amateur. He’s a fun horse and has always been a good horse. Just goes out and does his job. Has lots of ring presence.”

Chuck knows the reserve world champion even better.

“The second-place horse is a horse I actually raised and sold to a customer, so I’ve had him since the day he was born,” he said.

Thats A Good Point is a 2007 bay gelding by A Good Machine and out of Expect Joy(TB) by Our Escapade. He’s owned by Kit and Charlie Moncrief of Fort Worth, Texas.

“Both of (the horses) are done with junior this year,” Chuck said. “They’ll be senior horses next year.”

This year, though, they’re not quite through working at the World Show.

“The amateurs will show them here in amateur working hunter,” Chuck said.
