It was a rip-roarin’ fun night in the Jim Norick Arena on November 17. AQHA announced the year-end standings of the three Team Wrangler groups.
After each team was announced, a shot of fireworks went up into the air. This is the first year the World Show has featured pyrotechnics.
Congratulations to Team Extreme, who won the competition. The team was led to victory in 2011 by AQHA Professional Horseman J.D. Yates, their leading exhibitor.
The 2012 Team Wrangler teams were also introduced: Team Cowboy Cut, Team Extreme and Team Retro. The members of each team ran through the arena, tossing T-shirts and sported their new Wrangler logoed shirts.
In addition, AQHA Corporate Partner Wrangler gave a check of $20,000 to the American Quarter Horse Foundation, which will be used for scholarship money.
