Youth World Show National Qualifiers
AQHA is in constant contact with youth advisors regarding the June 18 deadline for entries. We will continue to work with youth advisors to process entries as efficiently as possible.
Please do not procrastinate when you receive your Ford Youth World show invitation. We ask that you return your entries to your youth advisor as quickly as possible so they can work them and return them to AQHA.
We understand in some cases having entries to your advisor by June 18 simply won’t be possible, and we are prepared to work with you and your advisor. Your help in quickly completing your entry will help. We appreciate your assistance on this and as always if you have a question please call us.
Qualifying Points for the 2013 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show
Qualifying Period: May 1, 2012 – May 27, 2013

Qualifiers List Please be aware that if you qualified between May 1 and December 31, 2012, your qualification should appear on the list. Most shows held in January and February have been completed, though not all. The qualifiers list will be updated every Friday as shows are processed, so please check back if you do not see your name.
Performance Halter: If a horse reaches the number of qualifying points required to show in performance halter and earns its performance Register of Merit during the qualifying period (May 1, 2012, thru May 27, 2013), it will qualify to show in the performance halter at the 2013 Ford Youth World. If a horse earned its performance ROM prior to the qualifying period, he/she will need an additional 10 riding points during the qualifying period in order to qualify for the 2013 Ford Youth World (and must reach the number of qualifying points required for performance halter). Riding points earned in the youth, open, amateur and Select amateur divisions during the qualifying period can cross over to count for youth performance halter. Showmanship points do not count.
Ranch Pleasure Because youth ranch pleasure was not approved in its own division prior to January 1, 2013, if a horse/rider combination competed in open ranch pleasure between August 1 and December 31, 2012, those points may be counted toward youth world show qualification. However, points can only count once and if anyone other than the youth intending to qualify for the youth world show rode the horse in open competition, those points must remain as open points. Exhibitors need to contact AQHA with their intentions regarding youth ranch horse pleasure.
