Join in the fun at the Youth Excellence Seminar.
Mark it on your calendars; it will be here before you know it! The 2011 Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar will be held June 16-18.
If you’ve never attended YES, in Amarillo, Texas, it’s an amazing opportunity to meet new people and have fun learning about leadership! Hosted by the 2010-2011 AQHYA Officers and Directors, YES will hold a wide variety of activities and speakers focused on YOUTH!
"YES is a great opportunity for our AQHYA members to meet other members from around the country and learn valuable leadership skills," said Rajeana Thompson, AQHA Director of Amateur, Youth and Compliance.
AQHYA’s leadership team for 2011-12 will be decided at YES. Voting delegates representing the affiliates will elect the AQHYA officers and directors during the convention. AQHYA’s 11 regions will also elect up to three directors to represent their region during the conference.
“Creating new leaders and teaching them the foundations of good leadership is what we hope to accomplish with this year’s seminar,” said Courtney Martin, AQHA Manager of Youth and Education.
