AQHA RACING & HORSEPLAYERPRO.COM TOP-10 POLL ON FIRE

November 6, 2009 – There are a new pair of fires in the No. 5 slots in the latest AQHA Racing-HorseplayerPRO.com Weekly Top Ten Polls for 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds and older. The Partys On Fire, 30-1 upset winner of the Golden State Million Futurity (G1), and Fighter On Fire, impressive winner of the Bank of America Racing Challenge Championship (G1), both launched themselves up their respective national charts with victories last weekend at Los Alamitos.

The Challenge Championships program not only propelled Fighter On Fire to No. 5 among the nation’s best older horses, but Merial Distaff heroine Stylish Jess BR also was rewarded with a No. 7 national ranking.

Meanwhile, there were no changes at the top of the polls as All American Futurity winner Runnning Brook Gal continues her unanimous perch among the 2-year-olds, as does multiple track record-setting Freaky with the 3-year-olds and older.

This week’s Grade 1 Los Alamitos Super Derby could have an impact on the rankings as Fantastic Corona Jr, who sits just outside the current Top 10, is among a field that also includes fastest-qualifier Foose.
