The final day – Day 4 – of the Region Seven AQHA Regional Experience featured mostly English saddle classes - hunter under saddle, working hunter and hunt seat equitation. The day ended with the speed events – barrel racing, pole bending and stake race. Probably the biggest event was the awarding of the all-around buckles and saddles.
Barrel racing and pole bending finished out the day's events.
Seventeen-year-old Lindsey Charvez of Benecia, California, and her horse, Specialty Item, walked away with eight first-place buckles and the youth all-around saddle.
Which one is the English horse? Hint: He doesn't have pink leg wraps.
Sherri Mays of Reno, Nevada, and I Work The Crowd competed in youth working hunter and youth equitation over fences.
AQHA Professional Horseman Troy Priddy of Macedonia, Illinois, had a good crowd for his speed events clinic Sunday morning.
Amateur all-around exhibitor Cindy Clark and Shaded Assets took a leisurely lope around the barrels to finish out their all-around competition at the Region 7 experience.
