REGION SEVEN
AQHA REGIONAL EXPERIENCE
DAY 2

BY BECKY NEWELL, AMERICA'S HORSE EDITOR

The second day of the Region Seven AQHA Regional Experience included trail, western pleasure and western horsemanship classes. For the fun of it, the Region Seven folks also included a few lead-line and walk-trot classes for the kids. The day concluded with a halter fitting and showing class by Jack Brizendine of Refugio, Texas.

Three-year-old Madison Wachtel brushes out the artificial tail that will go on her horse, The Simple Solution, for her lead-line class.Madison and her sister, Mackenzie, were two of three young ladies in the open lead-line class.Seven-year-old Rebecca Paxson of Simi Valley, California, was also in the lead-line class. The judges thought all three girls did a great job, and awarded them blue ribbons and gift bags.
Brianna Contreras of Sacramento, California, and Tardees Flashy Dan won novice amateur trail.Participants in the halter clinic line up to learn more about fitting and showing from Jack Brizendine.
