The recipient is presented with a commemorative bronze bust of an American Quarter Horse, graciously designed and donated by well-known bronze sculptor Marrita McMillian of Gainesville, Texas. The bust immortalizes the American Quarter Horse and the humanitarian achievements of Merle Wood.
