Imagine the most comprehensive and secure member Web site in the horse industry. That's why we've taken steps to enhance security before we make these exciting improvements to AQHA.com Member Services.
So, as of May 14, 2004 at 4 a.m., a new PIN will be required to access the Member Services area. You should have received your new PIN in the mail.
As always, we want to provide our customers with convenience and security. Look below to find the answers to a few questions regarding the new PIN.
Because we value our customers and their privacy, we want to ensure that when you do business online with us your transactions are safe and secure. To get this increased level of security, we needed to start out right. That means everyone is starting fresh with a new, secure PIN.
You can log in using your new PIN and change it to anything you wish, including a PIN you have used in the past.
You can change your PIN to any combination of letters or numbers that will make it easy for you to remember. To change your PIN:
- Log in to the Member Services area using your AQHA ID number and the new PIN you received in the mail.
- Roll your mouse over the words "Member Action" on the black navigation bar across the top of the screen.
- Click on "Change PIN" in the drop-down menu.
- Follow the instructions on the page. You'll enter your name and member ID number along with your new PIN and the PIN you would like to use.
When you sign into the Member Services Area for the first time after May 14, you will see a screen that asks you to choose a "secret question" and answer and also asks you for an updated e-mail address. The purpose for this secret question is to verify your identity in case you forget your PIN. If you should forget your PIN, you will be asked your secret question and if you answer it correctly, your PIN will be e-mailed to the e-mail address you provide.
You should choose your secret question and answer wisely, making sure that you choose information that someone else cannot guess. Remember that it is possible for anyone who knows your Customer ID to see your secret question and attempt to answer it.
Some examples of the secret questions you may choose from are:
- What is the last school that you attended?
- What is your favorite horse's name?
- What is/was your high school's mascot?
