AQHA and World Conformation Horse Association Form Alliance

The American Quarter Horse Journal, November 12, 2009 – The American Quarter Horse Association and the World Conformation Horse Association have joined forces as alliance partners.

The industry alliance partner program is designed to increase exposure of American Quarter Horses to millions of current and potential horse owners. AQHA is acknowledged as the foundation breed that provides the majority of horses used in competition and recreational activities. The organizations that are part of the alliance are acknowledged as the authority for their respective equine competitions and activities.

Through the strategic marketing alliance partnership, AQHA will display WCHA earnings on American Quarter Horse records. The associations will work together on the promotion of the American Quarter Horse. To learn more about AQHA alliances, visit www.aqha.com/association/benefits/alliance.html.

The World Conformation Horse Association's mission is to unite for the purpose of stimulating interest in and competitive opportunities for enthusiasts of the conformation horse, while protecting the integrity of the horse through responsible stewardship.

“AQHA is proud to be partners with the World Conformation Horse Association,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. “AQHA and WCHA will work together to strengthen the industry and explore opportunities that will mutually benefit each association.”

The World Conformation Horse Association was formed in May 2007 when more than 40 concerned halter horse owners, breeders and trainers from nine states gathered in Tioga, Texas.
