AQHA members can register at americashorsedaily.com to win a trip to QuarterFest: A Celebration of the American Quarter Horse. This one-of-a-kind event, May 1-3 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be a chance to ride, touch, observe and learn how to care for your American Quarter Horse.
If you want your chance at a free trip* to QuarterFest, and you've visited americashorsedaily.com, here’s how you register: In 200 words or less, tell us which tip on americashorsedaily.com you've benefited from most, and explain why. On the site, you’ll find tips and advice on training, recreational riding, showing, horse health and breeding – so you have lots to choose from.
Enter online at americashorsedaily.com/quarterfest-contest/ no later than March 27. And please adhere to the word limit; essays longer than 200 words will be disqualified. We’ll only accept one entry per person. The contest is open to AQHA members over age 18, and the winner will be notified right here on the QuarterFest Web site by April 3. If you're not an AQHA member, don't worry! Join today and you'll immediately be eligible to enter!
* The prize includes airfare to Murfreesboro from anywhere within the contiguous United States, hotel accommodations and event admission. Check http://americashorsedaily.com/quarterfest-contest/ for complete rules.
Wish you could share your favorite horseback riding spot with the world? Now you can in AQHA’s Life is a Ride video contest. That’s right, shoot a video of you and your horse at your favorite riding locale, and you could win some great prizes!
AQHA’s inaugural QuarterFest celebration is May 1-3 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and 10 riders will be picked from submitted DVDs to receive VIP passes and tickets to the QuarterFest Extravaganza, which is scheduled for the evenings of Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, in the Tennessee Miller Coliseum. The grand-prize winner will also receive a great Quarter Horse Outfitters prize package and the opportunity to participate in the Extravaganza.
Your video entry needs to be no more than two minutes long, and needs to show you and your American Quarter Horse at one of your favorite spots for a day in the saddle. Even if you aren’t one of the 10 finalists, there’s a good chance your video will be seen by everyone attending QuarterFest, so you also need to include a greeting in the video. An example of a greeting is: "Hi everybody, this Jane Smith and my American Quarter Horse Joe Bob Billy! We're in our favorite riding spot ... Anywhere Park, USA, and we'd like to welcome you to QuarterFest!"
So, roll cameras, and get your DVDs sent by April 1. Only one entry per person, please. Winners will be announced about a week later. Post your video entry on the Life is a Ride contest group on Youtube, or burn your entry to a DVD and send it to us at:
