BACKGROUND: This homesteaded ranch has welcomed travelers on horseback or by stagecoach and wagons since 1904. In 1956, current owners George Sr. and Glory Blackburn fulfilled their dream by purchasing the ranch. They still welcome travelers and invite children from around the world to their ranch. ITINERARY: Registration begins Friday evening followed by dinner and camaraderie. Saturday, enjoy breakfast followed by the Ride. Return for wine and cheese tasting, poker ride results and entertainment. Sunday, riders will wake up to breakfast, a short ride and lunch before leaving for the weekend.
DIRECTIONS: Flying Horseshoe Ranch is located approximately 90 minutes from Seattle on I-90. Take exit 85, just east of Cle Elum; continue east approximately four miles on Highway 970. The Flying Horseshoe Ranch sign is on the left.
RENTAL HORSES: Yes – Contact the Flying Horseshoe Ranch at (509) 674-2366 / $30 for two hours
STALLS AVAILABLE: Corrals only – no bedding or buckets, and you will be responsible for cleaning
FACILITIES AVAILABLE: Showers, restrooms, water for horses, cabins and trailer tie-up is permitted.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: All AQHA Trail Rules apply, in addition to Flying Horseshoe Ranch Trail Rules.
