BACKGROUND: Join Illinois Quarter Horse Association as they celebrate the birthplace of Peter McCue with a weekend Ride event. Panther Creek is a 16,000-acre multi-use area in central Illinois. It is managed by the Department of Natural Resources and located near the birthplace of the famed AQHA foundation stallion, Peter McCue. The area offers varying terrain with scenic and panoramic views, and more than 25 miles of moderate to difficult trails. In addition, there are nearby historic villages offering shopping, antiques, winery and bed & breakfast accommodations. We invite all breeds to take part in this adventure.
ITINERARY: Registration and sign-in starts at noon Friday. Trail camp activities and guided rides start Friday and continue throughout the weekend. Festivities will conclude Sunday afternoon. Meals, entertainment, prizes, special recognition, auctions, clinics and demonstrations are included in fee.

FACILITIES AVAILABLE: Equestrian campground, hook-ups, rental cabins (9), showers, restrooms, tent-camping, water for horses, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and trailer tie-up is permitted.
