DAILY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Lewis Morris Park was the first park to be opened in the Morris County Park System in March 1958. It was named after the first governor of the state of New Jersey. What once encompassed 350 acres has grown to 1,154 acres and includes a lake recreation area, Parcourse Exercise Circuit, three ball fields, a group camping area and six distinct picnic areas. Lewis Morris Park is one of the first parks to benefit from the Interpretive Signage program, and one of the sites where equestrian trails are designated and implemented. Join NJQHA to benefit Morris County Mounted Unit and take part in the “Pigs in the Park” pig roast.
DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 287 Traveling North: Take exit 35, South Street/Madison Ave. Turn left onto Route 124 West, South Street. Follow the directions above from South Street.
Traveling South: Take exit 35, Madison Ave. Turn right and at the light turn right onto Route 124 West, South Street. Continue straight, travel around the "Green." Turn right at the light onto Route 510 West/Washington St. Continue on County Route 510 West (Formerly Route 24) passing Delbarton School on your left. The park entrance is just after the second Delbarton entrance on your left.
From Morristown Green: Turn right onto Washington St. Travel 3.5 miles west toward Mendham and Chester on County Route 510 West (Formerly Route 24). The Park is located at 270 Mendham Road.
