REGION ONE EXPERIENCE

DAY TWO, JULY 24, 2008

BY TONYA RATLIFF-GARRISON, FIELD EDITOR

The sun greeted hunt seat and jumping exhibitors in one of the outdoor arenas at the Idaho Horse Park. While exhibitors showed their horses, the audience sat on the grass to enjoy the beautiful morning. The hunter under saddle classes moved to the indoor arena with the roping classes being held in the outdoor Stampede Arena. There were plenty of clinicians on hand for the day. AQHA Pro Horseman John Hamer gave a session on arena etiquette while AQHA Pro Horseman Cliff Kelmer taught the basics of roping. AQHA Pro Horseman Bob Avila wowed the crowd aboard one of his star equine partners, Chics Magic Potion. He stressed the importance of getting your horse ready for a reining show. Got a story idea on an exhibitor at Region One? E-mail tonyag@aqha.org.
