REGION 10 EXPERIENCE

DAY TWO, MAY 16, 2008

The rain cleared off on Friday for the driving, hunter under saddle, equitation and trail. It was a light show day ending by 5 p.m. – the largest classes were novice amateur hunter under saddle and novice amateur equitation.

Stay tuned for a busy Saturday of trail rides, a Curt Pate clinic youth all-around classes and cattle events!

My Exclusive Shadow started his show day with a win in the all-age pleasure driving with trainer Derek Bomberger. The gelding is owned by Kim and Scott Clark of Cornelius, North Carolina.

Stephanie Smith and Virtually Zipped of Ocala, Florida, rode her first complete western riding pattern at the Region and won the amateur. Her fiance Mike Bonsavage (left) and trainer, Terry Angelo, cheered her on.

Amanda Leigh Jones-McKinnon of Saint Cloud, Florida, rode Heavenly Hotrod in green hunter under saddle.

Georgia Quarter Horse Association President Lamar Mask of Monroe, Georgia, helped hand out awards.

The Garrison Arena, home of the 2008 Region 10, is next door to Clemson University's Equine Center.

Stacey Saltzman and Vested Tiger Bandit of Loxahatchee, Florida, face the gate in novice hunter under saddle.

Zippin N Stars and Deanne Herring of Eatonton, Georgia, won the regional championship in senior trail.Nancy Perkins and Leagues Magnum Force of Zephyrhills, Florida, won the Select trail, unanimous under all three judges.
