Trainer Derek Bomberger coached Margaret Ann Haas and Justa Good Dyversion just before their novice youth western pleasure class. The horse and rider hail from Benson, North Carolina.
Clay Arrington, 8, won the youth 13 and under trail and the non-pro walk/trot aboard his gelding, Appraised Venture. The gelding turned 20 this year.
All-around exhibitor Grace Pierce and her gelding, Invy My Green, participated in the Curt Pate low stress horsemanship clinic. They hail from Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Youth from North Carolina Quarter Horse Association, regional 4-H Clubs and Future Farmers of America participated in the judging contest. Kristine Vernon of Clemson University and AQHA Judge Bob Mowrey of North Carolina State helped Region 10 volunteers with the contest.
Nine-year-old Lexie Lane of Acworth, Georgia, rode Dont Flash Zip in the 10 and under walk/trot.
AQHA Regional Representative Tim Beesley and AQHA Executive Director of Shows and Regional Services Cam Foreman worked the gate at the Garrison Arena.
The trade show vendors have plenty to offer folk with a Quarter Horse lifestyle.
The cattle events included cutting and working cow horse along wtih tie-down and dally team roping.

Scarlet Fernandez of Powder Springs, Georgia, rode Mr Lopin Jose in youth 13 and under western pleasure.
Stephanie Lyons and Peppys Tanquery of Waxhaw, North Carolina, have a go in the amateur cutting. The two were the 2006 Region 10 champions in novice amateur reining.
Curt Pate gave a 2-hour clinic on stress free horsemanship – exhibitors were invited to watch and listen from the stands, or could sign up to ride their horses with Curt in the arena.
