| Stanley V. Scott leads Phenomenal Poise to a world title. |

Stanley Scott of Ocala, Florida, began earning AQHA points more than 20 years ago. He made the trip this year to the 2007 Bayer Select World Championship Show with Phenomenal Poise at his side. Together, they won the world championship in yearling geldings.
“I picked him out last year," Stanley said proudly. "This is the second time I’ve shown him."
The sorrel gelding was bred by Gerri Leigh Pratt of Chapman Company, in North Carolina. Phenomenal Poise was the 2006 open world champion weanling gelding. Shortly after that win, Stanley purchased the gelding and said he has liked him more and more ever since.
In 1998, Stanley was the open champion in junior western riding with Docs Outta Town. His 2000 open reserve world championship in junior western pleasure was aboard Huntin For Chocolate. Stanley won open reserve world champion 3-year-old mare in 2003 with Ms AlibiAt the 2007 Reichert Celebration, Hesa Hot Zip earned Stanley and his wife Susan $35,000 as runner-up for the Equine Sports Medicine $250,000 Challenge.
When asked what made Phenomenal Poise’s win unique, Stanley said, “I had a lot of faith in him and went all the way with him.
“We’ve had a great season so far,” he said with a smile.
